Helpful Packing Tips
Plan accordingly as you load and pack your storage unit. It is best to ensure that you place the items needed on a regular basis near the unit entrance as well as allowing for walking space to retrieve items in the back of the space.
- When packing individual boxes, be sure to place the heaviest boxes down first then add lighter boxes on top.
- Stacking boxes is much easier if you use same-sized boxes.
- Be sure to completely drain all fuel and/or oil from any gas-powered machinery.
- Clearly label every box to ensure easy item retrieval.
- It is best to leave a slight space between your storage items and the wall of the storage unit to allow for proper ventilation.

- Gardening items, such as shovels, hoes, rakes and hoses, can be stored together in empty trash cans. Also, stack any extra cans inside of one another.
- Tables with removable legs should be dissembled in order to save space.
